Well I now understand the hype. The food is really good! Presented in a unique way. You can experience unique tastes. The stand out dishes for me was the date toast with that babaghanush dip and Gobi Manchurian pita! Chicken and quinoa meatballs were good but not special. The steak tasted really good, though the toast beneath is was a bit burnt. Overall recommended. The decoration was so cool although it was too dark for me.

utstanding all around. Enjoyed dinner here while visiting from St. Louis.First, I’d like to mention the service. Our server, Rodrigo D, was fantastic. He was friendly and attentive. He encouraged us to order the biscuit and, my gosh, he did not lead us astray! The food was wonderful. We shared oysters, the whitefish pate, the New England clam chowder, the crab cake, and the aforementioned biscuit with honey and rosemary butter while everything was great, the chowder was our favorite.Wish I could go back and relive the experience all over again.

I recently visited Row 34 in Boston, drawn by its many positive reviews and high reputation. I went in with high hopes, but I must say I left a bit disappointed.Firstly, the price was reasonable, which is always a plus. However, when it came to the food, some dishes did not meet my expectations compared to similar offerings in other Boston establishments. Given the restaurant’s stellar reputation, I expected a higher level of culinary excellence. While the ambiance and service were decent, the overall dining experience fell short of what I had anticipated. I had hoped for a memorable meal, but instead found myself longing for the quality I’ve experienced at other local favorites. In summary, while Row 34 has its merits and many seem to enjoy it, my experience did not live up to the hype. It’s a decent spot, but for me, it didn’t quite hit the mark.

Possibly the best dinner I’ve had in the North End. Mamma Maria lives up to its reputation. Certainly a fabulous date night dinner spot. Their asparagus mushroom ravioli is out of this world! I loved the vanilla bean custard/flan too. They have an outrageously large wine selection. I am not sure if I’d recommend a visit for vegetarians as the choice is quite limited. But, they offered to make a lot of basics without meat so that is a nice to have. One of the most fine dining experiences I’ve had and the bill will reflect the same no less. I will definitely go back to try their Pasta Alla Norma which they were unfortunately out of during my last visit.

Last night, I stumbled upon Toro on Washington Street while celebrating my daughter’s birthday, and what a delightful surprise it turned out to be! This tapas bar exudes style and charm. The food was simply amazing, the drinks were top-notch, and the ambiance was truly spectacular. However, what truly made the evening memorable was the impeccable service we received, particularly from our server, Joey, who went above and beyond to make my daughter’s birthday special. The only downside was the parking situation, which is understandable given the nature of the area. So, plan accordingly as finding parking can be a bit of a challenge. Nevertheless, this minor inconvenience doesn’t overshadow the overall fantastic experience at Toro. Despite the distance from my home, I’m already planning to return with my spouse and friends because Toro is undeniably worth the trip.

This is one of those places where some dishes shine and some are just okay – get their pork chop, bone marrow, flank steak and cod fritters, these were phenomenal. If you’re looking for the best Lobster Roll in Boston, Saltie Girl may be where you will find it. We came here on a Thursday night after scoring a reservation for 9pm. We were seated on time but it took a while for our waiter to come back and place our order, a small issue worth mentioning but not deal breaking. We ordered the clam chowder, the heirloom tomato salad, the hot lobster roll and fish & chips. The clam chowder was fantastic, creamy and the additional of a few fried clams on top was a unique touch. The heirloom salad came next, creamy burrata and fresh heirlooms. A great combo. The star of the meal was the lobster roll and it was exceptional. For $46 I guess it has to be but it exceeded expectations. Drowned in butter and packed with lobster. The fish from the fish and chips was very nice, the batter held very well which made dipping into the tartar sauce easy. Which was nice, instead of the fish usually crumbling apart. I highly recommend this place and would definitely return again. Tip: make reservations and get the lobster roll!

This restaurant is amazing, my favorite in Boston. We loved the meatballs, ragu, the NY strip steak, the panna cotta, and the cocktails. The steak was cooked perfectly, the sauce and accompaniments really make the dish shine. The service is impeccable, with new dishes between each course, timely service, and all around professionalism. I’ve gotten the orchiette pasta before and this time it wasn’t as I remembered – it had a bit of a charred flavor. We mentioned this, and we had a replacement dish in no less than 90 seconds. Truly impressive! The manager, Tyler, is an absolute delight, and apologized personally. He also brought us a lovely wine pairing with our pana cotta desert, which also included a candle and congratulations card, as I was celebrating that evening. I feel you really cannot go wrong with this restaurant, everything is impeccable and so worth it
