Our experience was outstanding! Beautiful interior, with the choice to sit at the sushi bar or at a table (we took the sushi bar to be near the action). Each dish ranged from excellent to exquisite. The ability to customize the menu per dietary restrictions/preferences was something that we have not seen before, by nature of omekase being a “chef curated dinner”, but it really added to our enjoyment so we could be sure each course would be something we love. Also Hillary provided fantastic service – Friendly, fun, and very knowledgeable on the food and the beverage pairings.

Best omakase in Boston hands down. Rivals top omakase’s in NYC and Japan. You’re certainly paying for it, but if you want elite, O Ya is it.

Just amazing. Food, service, atmosphere, wine and sake selection. One of the best omakase experiences I’ve had, anywhere.

No Relation is a nine seat sushi bar serving omakase, sushi tasting menu, hidden in a private room within Shore Leave. Everything was phenomenal. Come here for a special night.

My husband and I traveled all the way from New Mexico. We love food of all kinds from many cultures and have a pretty high expectations for food/restaurants and Umami did NOT disappoint. It is the best Japanese fusion Omakase restaurant in Boston. Every course is like a new amazing surprise. We chose the 18 course and we will definitely be back. The staff are amazing and so knowledgeable on what food we were eating. They took the time to get to know us and that was really special.

I went here for my birthday last night with my husband. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We sat at the bar so we saw how the chef and his team made everything. They did a wonderful job for each of the courses. We decided to do a sake pairing with the meal and it went really well with all the different flavors. I would recommend Umami to anyone who wants a great omakase experience or a special occasion dinner.

My husband and I ate at Umami on a weeknight in February and had the whole restaurant to ourselves. The omakase meal is excellent! We tried so many things we hadn’t eaten or heard of before and loved the diversity of the dishes. The toro and beef were the most memorable dishes for me.

I tried the Chicken Fried Rice, Wagyu Beef Maki, and Oyster Sushi at Oishii Boston. The service was prompt, and the staff was attentive, checking on me after each dish. I also really enjoyed the atmosphere with pretty decorations and dim dark lights making it a perfect place to have conversations with friends and family. My only gripe was the lack of a visible sign outside, making it a bit challenging to find initially. The price is little bit to the higher end but the flavors were delightful, prompting a desire to return for more culinary exploration. I do suggest this place to others. The 4 star cause there’s always room for improvement with the dishes and the taste.

Nice vibe, service was a bit annoying tho. My friends were still eating but the server came several times wanted to take plates out. Food was good but small miso soup costs $8 per bowl? Too much

Hands down, this is the best sushi restaurant in Boston! The sushi here is exceptional, with fresh ingredients, arty presentation, and a delightful variety of flavors that cater to both traditional and modern palates. I felt like in Japan entire time in there. High quality high services. Definitely will go back to there again.

So happy that we were able to get a reservation last minute. Top quality ingredients, friendly staff, and you can add on a-la-carte items as well-depending on availability. It was a satisfying experience all around.
