Whew, what a great dining experience! We were visiting Boston from the West Coast (where we do seafood well) and wanted to take in some quality seafood that wasn’t $100/plate (we have 2 Louie,AFC did not disappoint. We had the fish n chips (haddock) from the kids menu, steamed Maine lobster, lobster roll (like a lobster po boy), lobster and crab louie, and kids salmon. The dinner came with fresh bread and butter.Salmon is farmed Atlantic which isn’t bad but doesn’t hold up against fresh caught Pacific salmon. The rest was outstanding, and the service was prompt, knowledgeable, and wonderfully friendly (Brenda) and the total bill was under $200.Highly recommended, thanks for a great meal!

I’ve always loved the Atlantic Fish. Coming back after 5 years felt like coming back to familiar grounds with the same high quality food, service, and overall experience. For appetizer our party of three shared a Lobster Crab Louie (avocado, endive, tomato, red onion) – we all loved it!Each main dish comes with two sides you choose from a wide variety of items. We had the Branzino with a side of corn pudding (so good) and French fries. We also got the broiled Haddock with a side of mashed potatoes and spinach. And we also tried the Halibut with a side of mushrooms and corn pudding. The dessert was exquisite: a large crème brûlée topped with fresh berries. The ambiance is energetic and the service is impeccable.Highly recommend this place be it for a casual night out or a special occasion.

If you’re looking for the best Lobster Roll in Boston, Saltie Girl may be where you will find it. We came here on a Thursday night after scoring a reservation for 9pm. We were seated on time but it took a while for our waiter to come back and place our order, a small issue worth mentioning but not deal breaking. We ordered the clam chowder, the heirloom tomato salad, the hot lobster roll and fish & chips. The clam chowder was fantastic, creamy and the additional of a few fried clams on top was a unique touch. The heirloom salad came next, creamy burrata and fresh heirlooms. A great combo. The star of the meal was the lobster roll and it was exceptional. For $46 I guess it has to be but it exceeded expectations. Drowned in butter and packed with lobster. The fish from the fish and chips was very nice, the batter held very well which made dipping into the tartar sauce easy. Which was nice, instead of the fish usually crumbling apart. I highly recommend this place and would definitely return again. Tip: make reservations and get the lobster roll!

It was so good, had to come twice! The first time was a quick bite before heading out. We had fresh clams, oysters and the uni. It was so fresh and the uni is to die for.The next night, we came for dinner and ordered the whole fish and the potatoes. At first they brought out the fillet of fish and said they didn’t have anymore of it, but then they magically brought one out.The service was great, when they got the order wrong, they were quick to fix it and even gave us an extra glass of wine!Highly recommend making a reservation beforehand as it can definitely get busy.

The oysters were so fresh! The snails, lobster roll and fried lobster and waffles didn’t disappoint! The cocktails were delicious! The hostess treated us like she didn’t care if we lived or died because we had been rained on all day and looked rough, but the rest of the staff was friendly and accommodating.

The best thing we ate was the seafood tower – all fresh and accompanied by excellent condiments. The famed clam chowder is good, but no more than that. The rest of the food was also good, but nothing all that interesting, and the plating reminds me of hotel banquet service in the 1970s. Service was friendly, but really slow (not talking about the kitchen timing, but things like drinks, wine, water, or even just getting to the table, on a very non-busy night). It’s a lovely space.

My family hosted my bridal shower at The Banks Fish House and it was nothing short of amazing! Erica couldn’t have been more helpful during the planning process. She is very responsive and flexible — we really enjoyed working with her.The shower was perfect in every way and a lot of that had to do with Banks! We rented the ‘The City View’ (one of their many event spaces) which is a beautiful room with floor-to-ceiling windows and views of Back Bay. We opted for the 2-course brunch and offered french toast, fried chicken sandwiches and lobster rolls as our entree selections. Almost everyone, including myself, ordered a lobster roll! The lobster rolls were delicious and FULL of lobster. Banks allowed us to bring a cake in as well as another dessert from our favorite bakery. We really appreciated that! The staff waiting on us during the shower were fabulous. Drink service was attentive and quick and they were great about checking in on me, which was so nice!We highly recommend hosting your event at Banks. The restaurant is beautiful, the food is delicious and the staff are fantastic! We couldn’t have had a better experience and can’t wait to come back in the future!

Whenever I come to New England I have to get a clam chowder and this place didn’t disappoint. Not too potato forward nice balance of flavor. Got it with a half Caesar and it was a perfect lunch portion. Could’ve used a touch more dressing. However, anytime a place actually makes their Caesar with anchovies it’s a must get!The crispy fish tacos were just that and stuffed.Ordered the Red balloon and Sangria. Both were nice and light.

This restaurant really lives up to the high expectations. We’ve had some of the best seafood and Italian food at this place. The clam chowder was fantastic and certainly the best I’ve had so far. The shrimp and grit was also delicious and full of flavors.Note that we were able to get a seat fairly easily around 11am, but it did get crowded quite quickly. The restaurant is fairly small so plan accordingly.

Yea, that’s an amazing lobster roll. A local recommended this place to me. So on my last day in Boston I visited. Brace yourself. It is not cheap — $36 for the roll and fries. But that’s a good value compared to most places because it is huge, and they pile it high with a ton of meat. I got it buttered and hot. I imagine it’s good cold too.The local also recommended the clam chowder here — which is also excellent.
